Ingredients of Chicken Stuffed Bread

  • 150 gm shredded chicken
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoon refined oil
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • black pepper as required
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • salt as required
  • 2 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • water as required
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

How to make Chicken Stuffed Bread

Step 1
To prepare this snack recipe, take a large bowl and add yeast in it along with shredded chicken and sugar. Mix well and keep the mixture aside for 10 minutes to let the yeast activate. In a medium bowl, add all-purpose flour, oil, salt and 1/2 tablespoon of butter, and mix them well. Then, add the yeast mixture and milk with warm water and knead the mixture to form a soft dough.

Step 2
Coat the dough with oil and cover with a damp cloth, keep it aside for an hour. Next, put a pan over medium flame and heat 2 tablespoons of butter in it. When the butter is melted, add all-purpose flour in it and stir for a while. Then, add warm milk and keep stirring firmly. Make sure that no lumps are remaining.

Step 3
As the mixture gets thick, add salt and pepper as per your taste to prepare the white sauce. Cook for a while then add shredded Chicken  pieces. Coat the chicken well with the sauce. Once done and remove from heat and keep aside for filling inside the dough.

Step 4
Now, take out the dough after an hour and knead for another 10 minute. Divide the dough into small balls, roll them out and press to make flat. Add the Chicken filling at the centre of each flattened roll and top up with grated cheese and oregano. Join the ends of the bread to the other side. After this, fold the sides of the dough. Place the dough with filling on the baking tray and cover with foil.

Step 5
Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius and place the bread into the oven for 20-25 minutes. After this and  coat the top with the egg wash. Now, increase the temperature of the oven and bake for 10 minutes. When ready remove from the oven and serve hot with some tangy dip. Garnish with mayonnaise and coriander leaves, if you want.
