Ingredients of Snakegourd Perugu Pachadi

  • 5 inches finely chopped snake gourd
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 dry red chili
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon urad dal
  • 1 1/2 cup yoghurt (curd)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 dash asafoetida
  • 2 chopped green chilli
  • salt as required
  • 1 dash turmeric

How to make Snakegourd Perugu Pachadi

Step 1 - Combine water and curd in a bowl
To start preparing this delicacy, beat the curd to make it smooth and combine it with water in a mixing bowl. Stir the beaten curd and water until you observe a medium consistency. Add turmeric powder and salt and stir again. Keep this mixture aside for further use.

Step 2 - Prepare the tempering for the dish
Start heating ghee in a shallow frying pan on a medium flame. After the ghee heats up, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. After you observe that the seeds are sputtering, add urad dal and let it cook until it turns red. Next, put dry red chili, green chili, asafoetida, curry leaves and snake gourd pieces into the mixture. Now let the entire amalgamation cook on a medium flame for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the snake gourd pieces start to tenderize.

Step 3 - Combine the cooked snake gourd pieces with curd mixture and serve
After the snake gourd mixture is cooked, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool. Lastly, combine the mixture with the beaten curd and water (Step 1) and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve fresh.

Ingredients of Barbeque Chicken Salad

  • 300 gm chicken breasts
  • 4 leaves sliced lettuce romaine
  • 1/2 medium yellow bell pepper
  • 1 small red onion
  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • ground black pepper as required
  • 1/2 cup barbeque sauce
  • 1 small jicama
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen sweet corn
  • 1 medium tomato
  • salt as required

       How to make Barbeque Chicken Salad

Step 1
To prepare this delicious salad, grill the chicken breasts for around 10 minutes from both the sides. Remove from the heat and allow them to cool down.


Step 2
Then, cut the chicken into cubes. Season the chicken cubes with salt and ground black pepper as per your taste. Set aside.

Step 3
Meanwhile, slice the red onion, tomato, bell pepper, and the jicama.

Mix the barbeque sauce with mayonnaise in a bowl.

  • 2 tablespoon refined oil

  • 1/2 cup yoghurt (curd)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kasoori methi powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds

How to make Chicken Tikka


Step 1
To prepare this delicious Chicken  tikka recipe, prepare the marinade first by mixing them together lemon juice, coriander powder, paprika, cumin powder, caraway seeds, aksoori methi powder, ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder and yoghurt in a large bowl. Next, preheat oven at 450 degree Fahrenheit. Next, wash the chicken thighs well in running water and pat them dry. Cut them into bite-sized pieces into one large bowl.

Add chopped Chicken, bite-sized onion pieces and chopped bell peppers in the bowl of marinade. Using your hands, mix well and set aside for about 1-2 hours and let them marinate.

After some time, thread the chicken on to the skewers, followed by onion and bell peppers. Brush oil on all of them.
