Ingredients of Zero-oil Lentil Cutlets
- 1 cup urad dal
- 1 finely chopped green chilli
- salt as required
- 1/2 cup moong dal
- 1 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- For The Main Dish
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste

How to make Zero-oil Lentil Cutlets

Step 1
Soak the daals overnight. In the morning make a rough paste adding very little water and allow it to rest for 6 to 7 hours. You can alternately add a pinch of baking soda so that the mixture rises a bit and becomes light and fluffy.

Add ginger paste and salt and mix well. Now add chopped green chillies, garlic paste, chopped coriander and chopped onions.

Beat well and add a little water if you feel the batter is too tight. (Must ensure that the batter is not runny.)

Now heat a non-stick pan, make small rough oval shapes of batter and place on the pan. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip and cook till they are crispy. Remove from fire and serve with tamarind chutney.
